CROW WING TRAIL

CROW WING TRAIL

The Crow Wing Trail is the longest section of the Trans Canada Trail in Manitoba. At 200km, it connects Winnipeg to Emerson through the municipalities of Ritchot, Niverville, De Salaberry, St-Pierre-Jolys and Emerson-Franklin. It closely follows the route of a Red River Ox-Cart Trail used in the mid-1800’s.

Rat River Recreation Commission (RRRC) has loaned GPS units to the trail committee for their mapping needs. RRRC has also utilized parts of the trail for workshops such as Edible Plants and Cross-Country Skiing. We also assist in the promotion of the Crow Wing Trail.
